Poem: Numbing injection
I'm here yet again laying on the green fold out bed
I'm in horrid pain, it goes from my heart and head,
To my sorry body and my broken body, calling out for help
But you see, the pain I feel is the one that no one can see
My feelings are so big they envelop my whole body
I have gaping wounds in my heart And my mind is riddled with my monsters
When I was a little I was scared of the monsters under my bed
I could fall asleep and forgot
Now I have to hide from the monsters in my head
Now even my dreams are plagued with my demons, that just won't go away
I'm here yet again again on the green fold out bed
Waiting for the little sting that will numb the pain away
I feel the sting and with it my anger and pain dissipates
